Trazodone Trazadone: The correct spelling is Trazodone all you Googlers. Trazadone is great for "everyday" dosing of something to "take the edge off". It's good to the organs and doesn't make the dog stupid or unpredictable. It allows counter-education on whatever's on it's mind. PLain old "sedatives" blunt 'everything' and you have a zombie at your house. They don't learn anything when they see the trainer. (If applicable) Trazadone is dosed ONCE a day to start - at half dose. If that's not 'enough' then you do half-dose TWICE a day. If that's not 'enough' then you do FULL-dose in the morning and half-dose in the evening. Finally if you're doing FULL-dose twice a day and it's not working, we ought to figure out how to do a lobotomy. KIDDING But seriously, start low and work it up to WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR DOG. I've started them high before, and sent a dog (or three) right down the stairs head over heels. (That's not true either but I worry about 'em doing that.) Doc Johnson Keep Calm Stress Support In canines, the three best "happy" compounds you can get over the counter do NOT include CBD, how about that!? Valerian Root, Bacopa and St. John's Wort when found together are DYNAMITE and even help with epilepsy. This is the closest thing I've found and I sometimes have owners give this to anxious pets. |

Something else I found for my dog "Ajax" that's cool: |
Sporn Dog Halter STOPS "pulling and tugging" NOW. (Link) This is what I use now, with my dog Ajax. I used to use the Gentle Leader, but I didn't like including his face in the thing. Now, this just goes around his chest and he DOES NOT PULL ANY MORE. It's great! Amazon.com has it. | |
| You can buy a fat bundle of 'wet wipes' with Cetaphil and I'd recommend it. They're great for cleaning healing wounds, dirty ears, cleansing around some eyes, under-tails, surgery sites, sores. | |
