A Terminal Exploratory is some pet's "last chance" and it's set up to be "kind of affordable" and here is why it "kind of" is.
When you're out of options and things are going badly, you arrive at the only hope being to "actually LOOK" in the belly and fix what you can.
And if you can't fix what you've diagnosed, you let the pet Go To Heaven while it's still anesthetized on the table.
Cost is conservative because we give them anesthesia before we euthanize anyway.
It's only 'more expensive' in the joyous event that we discover something we can FIX and I do that.
And it happens sometimes so it's worth considering. But most-often, we're confirming an inoperable tumor or some other terminally-broken internal "thing" and we let them go in peace.
For a "Terminal Exploratory" you say 'Goodbye' and a prayer and let me look in there.
I'm sorry you're even having to consider this.

![]() | Labra Dog Canine K9 Knee Stifle Brace Wrap Metal Hinged Flexible Support Treat ACL CCL Luxating Patella Cruciate Ligament Sprain Strain Tear Injuries I couldn't get behind these until this one came out. It has a strap that keeps the thing from sliding down. THAT strap has a strap that keeps the thing from rolling down off the dog's rump. And the whole thing does NOT wrap around his weiner area (which would have been fine for a female dog of course) so this one has THREE key engineering points. Buy the proper knee brace and put it on tight! |
