Puppy Pointers: New puppy! Eyes skin coat teeth gums alignment, occlusion, abdomen hips and knees muscle mass fat% and weight, color CRT hydration cardiac and chest GOOD Nodes nails and undertail good. Mom's not around to clean them so a Cetaphil wipe or Aloe-Baby Wipe around their privates til they're self-cleaning. I Checked for congenital and birth defects: No hernias, fontanelles and palate are closed, external 'bits' are normal. No cardiac murmurs like PDA or PFO Overall excellent. Disposition GOOD There are four HARD rules: 1) You have to be the Alpha and Omega to the dog. Any deviation from that can lead to undesired behaviors/ agression . If your puppy gets "willful" all you do is go see a trainer like Jim Wentzell. Easy Peasy. 2) Feed dry food only and never put anything on it. When they stop growing at 18 months to 2 years their appetite drops by SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT and people start mixing stuff into their food, and the fattening process begins. 3) Obese dogs don't live as long and are prone to cancer, and bad skin. 4) Dogs can get rotten mouths for lack of bones. They get sick more, and it smells bad. Plus bad teeth hurt. Dental exercise is half the battle to longevity. Start and continue this from a young age. Raw beef bones. Fit dogs with healthy mouths = Live into their teens. Foods? Skip this one: Dr. Mardy just released: "Dr Mardy's Orphan's-Tears and Ostrich Breast Diet enriched with micronized-patented 'Washed-Up-Vet-Dr.Mardy's-Golden-Aura-Himalayan-Crystals (pink salt) and eagle-feather dream-catchers." (Read: poultry by-product (feather) meal). #puppy2pager #feedingpuppies #dentex #bones sheet #pantene |

Something else I found for my dog "Ajax" that's cool: |
Sporn Dog Halter STOPS "pulling and tugging" NOW. (Link) This is what I use now, with my dog Ajax. I used to use the Gentle Leader, but I didn't like including his face in the thing. Now, this just goes around his chest and he DOES NOT PULL ANY MORE. It's great! Amazon.com has it. | |
| You can buy a fat bundle of 'wet wipes' with Cetaphil and I'd recommend it. They're great for cleaning healing wounds, dirty ears, cleansing around some eyes, under-tails, surgery sites, sores. | |
