Dry Food Choices: Dry food is my favorite for dogs and I really appreciate a well formulated affordable diet that doesn't rely on LIES to sell it, or the pimping of a putative degree to make it look 'better' than normal foods. Dry food. Nothing not even water on it. Costco happens to have a nice Salmon-based one. Rachael Ray's foods (Target) are good. "Chicken Soup of the Soul" (Amazon) has several sizes well formulated in puppy and adult versions at a good price point. (My 'go to' food when I need something quick and delivered for Ajax. (My dog) You can feed i'D low fat once she's an adult. That's way down the road. (This is what my dog Ajax eats often) Soft-moist - roll-pack diets like Farmer's Dog, Petlab, Dr Mardy, and Natural Choice, are all severely HYPED, and are being OVERSOLD as "great quality nutrition" when it's no better than a good quality dry food simply WETTED DOWN and ROLLED INTO A FANCY REFRIGERATED PACK. Don't waste so much money and dry food is better for their teeth. And I'm not saying that to sell you food. Dr. Mardy's latest food release: "Dr Mardy's Orphan's-Tears and Ostritch Breast Diet enriched with micronized-patented 'Washed-Up-Vet-Dr.Mardy's-Golden-Aura-Himalayan-Crystals (pink salt) and eagle-feather dream-catchers." (Read: poultry by-product (feather) meal). This is one of the foods I like the best for my own dog Ajax. It combines a good price, home-delivery, a healthy formulation with moderate taste and calories and delivers a good clean poop. Careful though: The bags look similar even though pellet size and age-to-feed differs. You could end up with a bag of large bites for your Yorkie. Chicken Soup for the Soul Turkey and Brown Rice.

Something else I found for my dog "Ajax" that's cool: |
Sporn Dog Halter STOPS "pulling and tugging" NOW. (Link) This is what I use now, with my dog Ajax. I used to use the Gentle Leader, but I didn't like including his face in the thing. Now, this just goes around his chest and he DOES NOT PULL ANY MORE. It's great! Amazon.com has it.
| You can buy a fat bundle of 'wet wipes' with Cetaphil and I'd recommend it. They're great for cleaning healing wounds, dirty ears, cleansing around some eyes, under-tails, surgery sites, sores. | |
