ANY time spent around a humidifier is better than none at all.
"Hot air rises" and that's true for humidifiers. So the hot-air humidifiers are drastically superior to the cold-mist ones.
The Vick's hot air humidifier is like, $15 at Target and Walmart or Amazon. And you put a TINY pinch of salt in the water and it will steam like crazy. They last about 2 years if you use a LITTLE salt. If you used a teaspoon of salt it would steam like a locomotive.
Animals with airway allergies and drying are well served in a smaller space (a bedroom or even a bathroom) with a hot air humidifier running. Even if that's just overnight, it helps.
This is IMPORTANT for cats and kittens with respiratory infections, and when saving little (eyes shut) baby bunnies.
Vicks Nursery 1 Gallon Vaporizer with Night-Light Warm Steam Vaporizer
I'm not recommending this because it's the cheapest on the market - that's nice, of course but because the humidity remains in the air the LONGEST when generated HOT. Put a VERY tiny pinch of salt in these to get them steamier. That will wear them out in like, three years. But for fifteen bucks the performance enhancement is amazing. Buy on Amazon.
Have you seen these? These can track your pet (or kid) in real time and unless they get the thing off their collar, you can find your pet. Highest rating on Amazon - reliable and again, unlimited range. (It uses the internet) Put one on your pet soon, and cut your chances of losing your pet. | |||

The Art of Raising a Puppy (Revised Edition) Hardcover
I've been a hard core endorser of the ORIGINAL book from like, 20 years ago. But recent reviewers call this book "The Best of the Best" on Amazon so I have to defer. And these Monks, they train German Shepherds which are the hardest to bring to heel.
