How long does it take to cycle a filter or colonize a filter with beneficial bacteria at different temperatures?

If the water is below 55 degrees fahrenheit it will take a verty long time to cycle the beneficial bacteria. More than ten to twelve weeks, even if you added live beneficial bacteria, they simply won't prosper.

At 65 degrees Fahrenheit, you're looking at an eight week cycle.

At 75 degrees Fahrenheit, it will take six weeks to control nitrogen with a healthy colony of bacteria.

At 85 degrees Fahrenheit, it would only take three to four weeks if calcium, oxygen, and nitrogen were present in sufficient quantities.

Consider, seriously, the BioSeeding process. (Look it up!)

Did you know that for every ten degrees increase in temperature, there's a doubling of metabolic activity among non-warmblooded organisms?
