Ear Infections with Pseudomonas* :

________ has a rare germ in the ears called "Pseudomonas" and it's resistant to pretty much EVERYTHING.
We're gonna clear that with a little medicine you put in TWICE a day. You just put it in the affected ears, and massage the base then blot the head with a damp washcloth to get off the extra 'messy stuff' for the sake of your house. The BROWN medicine STAINS fabric - irreversibly.

So in the morning you put a BROWN syringe-ful* in each ear. Ten days. (Twenty brown syringes)
In the evening you put a WHITE syringe-ful** in each ear. Ten days (Twenty white syringes)
IN ten days I'm hoping the ears are VERY good and I'll put ONE treatment in that lasts a MONTH.
#RECHECK 10 days.
That 'ONE' treatment (Claro) would NOT work on ears that are THIS BADLY on fire.
The 'end treatment' once this is MOSTLY cleared, is CLARO.

*povidone Iodine 7-10% solution

If treating ONE ear you'll need 10 syringes of each.

If treating TWO ears you'll need 20 syringes of each.

#IMPORTANT# This is not for routine ear infections. These compounds could damage the ear itself and that's a Good Idea *only* if the germ is doing worse than the treatment could.

Method Two: A Bit Easier

Brown in the Morning

White at Night

Ten Days treatment. Just put a syringe of the brown medicine in the morning and then in the evening put a syringe of white medicine. Clean 'em up once a day. Probably in the evening BEFORE the white treatment.

#IMPORTANT#  

The side of the head is going to be covered in "goo" and the ear (and head) will need to be cleaned. The brown medicine stains everything. So you'll be glad to have ear cleaner, (Like Aurocin) or a soapy rag, or a Cetaphil Wipe handy for frequent use.

#IMPORTANT# 

If you just layer medicine on top of medicine without ever removing it from the ear or the head - this method isn't going to be great for you.

The problem is: How often you have to clean the ear and / or the head is not the same for all dogs and all owners.

Trimming away excess hair during treatment is a GREAT IDEA

#IMPORTANT#  Recheck in ten days.

Step one in the morning: Instill and massage iodine in the ear, wipe excess
