Iris Atrophy (Usually in Cats): Has "Iris Atrophy" which is changing the SHAPE of the left Iris (green/yellow part) that is the "stuff around the pupil" The iris is made of a thousand muscle 'strands' EXACTLY like the springs on a trampoline. Over the years some of these 'pop' and the pupil can develop an irregular shape and function. *BUT* This cat is 100% normal on neuro exam, in every way. Has a good Direct and Consensual Light Response. The lenses are in the normal position although cataracted - and there are no tumors or bleeds in the eye. SOMETIMES (not here in this case) there'll be a problem with the RETINA and that pupil can stay big - (because the eye is blind) but the larger-pupil eye is not even vision impaired. There's nothing to do about Iris Atrophy. Doc Johnson |

Something else I found for my dog "Ajax" that's cool: |
Sporn Dog Halter STOPS "pulling and tugging" NOW. (Link) This is what I use now, with my dog Ajax. I used to use the Gentle Leader, but I didn't like including his face in the thing. Now, this just goes around his chest and he DOES NOT PULL ANY MORE. It's great! Amazon.com has it. | |
| You can buy a fat bundle of 'wet wipes' with Cetaphil and I'd recommend it. They're great for cleaning healing wounds, dirty ears, cleansing around some eyes, under-tails, surgery sites, sores. | |
