Fleas:
Fleas
Fleas aren't the problem they once were.
Products put ON the pets like Advantix, Frontline have done-away with lots of infestations.
Medications used INSIDE (orallY) have done even better with less resistance. Examples are "Comfortis" and "NexGard" (my two favorites)
There are other medications for fleas.
The ones I DO NOT LIKE ARE: Simparica, Bravecto, Generic Heartworm pills.
Would not use them in my dog or cat.
I like Trifexis but I don't carry it because it's too expensive in the winter when you may not need flea control.
In the yard, control of fleas can be professionally undertaken or at Home Depot they have "Spectracide Granules" which you can spread like grass seed and water in.
In the house, I've used and liked flea bombs, but also "Flea Busters" anhydrous Boric Acid.
If I had small children or someone was pregnant, I'd avoid the chemicals in bombs.

I used this stuff and spread it with a grass-seed spreader. I was "pretty good" about pet areas and places they walked and went. I didn't get the corners of the yard very well - I mean, the fleas would have to cross a LOT of yard to get to my Ajax.
Yes this kills a lot of bugs but not many of the flying ones. It's a soil-level bug killer. I liked that.
